Workshop Description

• The shamefullness  of being seen

• Shuuchinawa (羞恥縄) — literally “rope of shame” — is one of the most evocative and psychologically charged styles within Shibari/Kinbaku.
• Rooted in the Japanese aesthetic of erotic embarrassment, Shuuchinawa explores how rope can amplify feelings of exposure, vulnerability, and inner conflict.
• This style does not rely on complex patterns or suspensions, but on the emotional interplay between rigger and partner.
• During this workshop, we will delve into how rope can be used to heighten arousal through embarrassment, to create powerful emotional responses, and to guide the model into a space of surrender.
• Shuuchinawa sits close to Semenawa (torturous rope) in its intensity, but its focus is less on pain and more on the psychological and sensual impact of shame, arousal, and restraint.
• No experience with hashira is needed.
• Corneum is the specialist of the Hashira workshops
• Special attention, tips and information both for the top and bottom

The workshop

• The cultural and emotional roots of Shuuchinawa as practiced in Japan.
• Techniques for evoking shame and vulnerability through rope.
• The use of minimal, strategic ties that emphasize mood over complexity.
• Reading your partner’s reactions and adapting rope play to emotional states.
•  Slow soft rope sessions for shame, vulnerability and erotic sensations
• How to safely integrate Shuuchinawa into your own Kinbaku practice.
• Hashira combining with bamboo (or ring) suspension points
• Semi suspension (no suspensions)

Requested 🌻 Open Level

• Bottom and top must feel comfortable being very close emotionally and physically. This also applies in the workshop environment alongside other couples.
• The couple has a strong emotional bond and feels safe and comfortable with each other, both physically and emotionally.

Rigger

• You must be able to make the basis knots, tensions and frictions
• You must have good communication and rope
• You must have good rope handling
• Rigging safe

Model

• Good communication with the rigger
• You have experience with semi suspensions
• Please wear easy-fitting clothes.

What to bring

• 6 to 10 jute ropes of about 8 m.
• Several short ropes 1, 2 , 3 , 4 m (If you do not have these you can purchase them on site. Please indicate this in advance.)
• Blindfold
• Your energy
• Please bring several different items of clothing. For example, a kimono, a dress that can be opened completely, a skirt with a very long slit or that can be opened completely, a school uniform, or other clothing that means something to you.

  • He has been very active in shibari for more than 8 years.
  • He has been teaching intensive shibari classes at different levels for more than 4 years.
  • He attended international workshops of the following styles; Yukimura Ryu, Ropunawa, Naka, Seme nawa, Ren Yagami, Nicolas Yoroi, Kinbaku, Semenawa and many more styles
  • He specialises in sensual, erotic as well as dominant and sadistic shibari styles.
  • Connection, communication, energy exchange are most important to him.

  • She has been active as a rope bottom for more than 3 years and this with several international riggers.
  • Her experience with different tops and styles is the perfect base for feedback and information to share with other rope bottoms.
  • She loves sadic ropes, semenawa, erotic and sensual play.
  • Because she is very emotionally expressive, she can easily share her emotions that are created during a session.
